An Ri Ra Irish Festival
July fourth is the first major event in Butte. The fourth of July in Butte has always been a catalyst for political campaigns. One surprising new face that attended the parade in Butte this past year (2008) was Presidential hopeful Barack Obama and his family.
The last weekend in July is the Evel Knievel Days. There are many events such as the American Motordome Wall of Death, Sayers production Freestyle show, the crazy Texans Team Stunters, Globe of Death stunt show along with stuntman Spanky Spangler and live music from Tim Montana and tons of great food vendors.
The last event of the summer is the An Ri Ra Irish Festival. This event also has plenty of entertainment such as the Trinity and Tiernan Irish dancers, junior fiddlers and lots of live music. There are also films and all kinds of workshops to attend.
